scene for the glasgow bike library. A more contemporary view also
provides a foundation for such a project to take place in the city,

These environmental concerns are often thrown around and not much
is done with them, we decided that it was time to take a little action,
rather than just words.

the guidance for a pro-active solution focused on our immediate
environment is clear. olivia hartridge, from the eu commission, also
states that we must act on a global scale before we are faced with
environmental consequences: “worldwide since 1980, 64% of all
catastrophic events and 79% of economic losses have been attributable
to weather and climate events.”

These quotes exemplify the need to be working locally and thinking
globally, building communities and developing our skills as we learn
throughout these projects I decided that to provide a resource that had
come from land-fill would be an idea worth experimenting with,
along- side quotes like these providing a few more bikes in the city
was a work that needed to be realised.
