Artists Charlie Bosanquet and Jennifer Herman were seen at the G8 Make Poverty History March in Edinburgh about teatime. Both artists were dressed in costumes that were loosely based on cigarette girls, pushing a homemade tea trolley. On the Trolley were 192 cupcakes and each of these sported a photograph image of a person’s face. The photographs were images of the leaders of each of the countries that were not part of the 8 countries that form the G8. Each of the cupcakes sold at a pound and the money went to the Red Cross for the Pakistan Earthquake Appeal.

The performance was a light heated attempt to encourage people we encountered to think about the G8’s power and the scale of the countries that were not represented.
