While I was on a residency in Lumsden in rural Aberdeenshire, at the Scottish Sculpture Workshop I became fascinated with weather. The EASE OF YOUR ARMCHAIR Weathervane came about through an idea I had had with constructing a weather vane to be read inside you house. I liked the idea that by making a suitcase to house the weather vane it meant that it became contradictory, that instead of reading the weather from your armchair it provided a structure that meant you carry the weather vane to the site you wanted to read the weather from.
