Mobile Retreat

Inspired by the medieval painting ‘St Jerome in his Studio’ by Alessandro del Messina, I wanted to make a structure that would enable the user to perform all of the daily functions in the smallest possible mobile structure. This flat-pack hybrid space could then be transported to different sites in order to perform a myriad of functions. As an artwork it becomes a platform for an infinite number of future processes, taking dialogue beyond the gallery.
