Belgium, France, Germany, Denmark and Norway | September-October 2007

On the 1st of September 2007 l left the UK and cycled through Belgium, France, Germany, Denmark and Norway and arrived in
Fykse- Hardanger on the West coast of Norway on the 3rd of October. Once in Fykse I took part in Barselgrad, a year long artists residency project that takes place at a former Junior school in Fykse. This journey became a strong foundation for future projects during the time I was resident in Norway. Travelling to Fykse by land and sea provided me with a valuable first hand experience of the landscape I was traveling through. Throughout the journey I sought out to research various activities relating to environmental sustainability; such as examples of zero/ low carbon travel, renewable energy, farming communities initiatives and permaculture projects.
